Give your support by volunteering
If you are experienced in beauty with relevant make-up or skincare skills and would like to help support at our workshops, we would love to hear from you.
You will be supporting women who have undergone invasive and appearance changing cancer treatments. A kind, sensitive and friendly personality with a caring commitment is also a key requirement.
To become a Look Good Feel Better beauty volunteer, we would like you to have a formal qualification in either make-up artistry or beauty therapy. In the absence of these, you would need at least one years experience in the beauty industry and have undergone formal, internal training with your company.
Once you have completed an application form, you will be sent our Training Manual to study carefully. One of the Programme Managers will arrange for you to be guided through your first workshop - at the beginning, you will always be with an experienced lead volunteer.
How it Works

When and where are the workshops held?
All our workshops are run from 2pm until 4pm in hospitals across the country. We would like you to commit to a minimum of three workshops, alongside two other volunteers, during the year. See this year's calendar here
Meet one of our marvellous volunteers
We are totally dependent on our 175 inspiring and hardworking volunteers and we are very grateful to have them.
Margaret is one of our wonderful volunteers in St. James's Hospital and here she talks about why she volunteers with Look Good Feel Better:
I have been a Look Good Feel Better volunteer for some years now. I first joined with my colleague Frances and enjoyed the experience so much. Once I volunteered at the first workshop I knew it was for me. It is an opportunity to use my make-up and skincare skills in a relaxed and fun environment.I would encourage any beauty professional to be involved. We are all busy but this is such a lovely experience to be a part of".
